Mizoram State Museum – Mizoram

The Mizoram State Museum in Aizawl is an ethnographic museum showcasing the rich history, textiles, anthropology, and natural history of Mizoram. It has five galleries: Textile Gallery, Ethnology, History, Anthropology, Natural History, and an Archaeology Terrace.

Mangkahia Lung – Mizoram

Mangkahia Lung is a historical stone memorial in Champhai, Mizoram, near the Myanmar border. It was built in the 1700s in memory of Mangkhaia, an important chief of the Ralte tribe. The monument stands 5 meters tall and features engravings of mithun heads, an animal native to Northeast India.

Vantawng Falls – Mizoram

Vantawng Falls is the highest waterfall in Mizoram, located near Thenzawl in Serchhip district. It cascades down 750 feet (228.6 meters) and is surrounded by dense forests, making it a breathtaking sight.

The falls are named after Vantawnga, a legendary swimmer who could hover in the cascading water like a fish. However, during one of his performances, a drifting log tragically struck him.

Since the waterfall is surrounded by thick forests, visitors can only view it from a designated viewpoint. The best time to visit is from September to January, when the waterfall is at its full might.

KV Paradise – Mizoram

KV Paradise is a unique monument in Aizawl, Mizoram, often referred to as the “Taj Mahal of Mizoram.” It was built by Khawlhring in memory of his late wife, Rosangpui Varte, who tragically passed away in a road accident in 2001. The two-story structure houses her belongings, including her wardrobe and photographs, and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding valley.
